Games
Puzzle, arcade and casual games with a clear loop: quick to learn, hard to put down. We build the rules, levels, scoring and the menus around them.
Interactive leisure and entertainment software · Newcastle upon Tyne, UK
Engineering Creatives is a small software company in Newcastle. We design, program and test interactive leisure software for phones, browsers and PCs, and hand it over as a complete product.
A small demo we wrote for this page. It stops when you scroll away.
What we make
Puzzle, arcade and casual games with a clear loop: quick to learn, hard to put down. We build the rules, levels, scoring and the menus around them.
HTML5 and WebGL games that start from a link with nothing to install. Good for sites, campaigns and game portals.
iOS and Android entertainment apps where the touch controls are designed first and not squeezed in later.
Quizzes, kiosks and installations for events, venues and shops that run all day without someone standing next to them.
Points, streaks, levels and leaderboards added to an existing app or site, where they fit what people already do there.
Device testing, performance fixes and new content after release.
How a project runs
The order matters, so the steps are numbered. Everything else is flexible.
We agree who it is for, which devices it runs on, what is in and out of scope, and what “finished” means for this product.
A playable version early, so you can judge how it feels before the rest of it is built.
Short build cycles, with testing on real phones and browsers as we go.
We prepare the store or web release, then fix what real players find in the first days.
Tools
We pick tools per project. This list is a starting point, not a limit.
About
Engineering Creatives Limited is a UK-registered software company in Newcastle upon Tyne. Our work is ready-made interactive leisure and entertainment software: products that are complete when we hand them over, not demos waiting for a second budget.
How a game feels comes from code as much as from art, so the people who program and the people who design work on the same build from the first week.
Contact
A few lines are enough: who it is for, which devices, and when you need it. We reply by email.
